Multi-accounting detection for sportsbooks
Multi-accounting in sports betting means one bettor behind many accounts, each claiming the same free bet or enhanced odds. InlineShield screens every sportsbook registration for duplicate inboxes, temp mail, VPNs, datacenter IPs and bots, and lets you withhold the free bet or ask for KYC instead of closing the door on a real customer.

How duplicate bettor accounts get opened
Sportsbook promotions are easy to farm. A free bet on sign-up, a risk-free first bet, a boosted price on the big match: each one is worth claiming many times if opening an account costs nothing.
Some multi-accounters do it alone, with alias emails and a VPN. Others recruit friends and family to open accounts in their own names and hand over the logins, which is known as gnoming. Those accounts carry real identities, so no sign-up check can prove who is really behind them. What they often share is the same habits at registration: a fresh temp-mail inbox, the same VPN or cloud server, a browser time zone that doesn't match the claimed country.

Withhold free bets, not customers
Closing every doubtful account costs you bettors you wanted. InlineShield gives you softer options:
allow_no_bonus: open the account, don't credit the free bet.review: hold the account until your team has looked at it in the review queue.require_kyc: approve a held account but verify identity before the first withdrawal.
Only clear cases are refused outright with block. See risk verdicts for when each one is returned.
Ready for match days
Sign-ups bunch up before big fixtures, and so do attacks. InlineShield emails you when an attack spikes, when your integration suddenly goes silent, when the review queue builds up and when you near your monthly quota, plus a weekly digest.
If InlineShield ever can't be reached, the ready-made integration code accepts the sign-up and logs it, so registration keeps working. If you would rather refuse sign-ups in that case, it is one setting. Plans and limits are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
What is multi-accounting in sports betting?
One person running more than one account at the same bookmaker, usually to claim the same promotion again or to get around stake limits. Most sportsbooks' terms forbid it.
What is gnoming?
Gnoming is multi-accounting through other people: the accounts are opened in the names of friends, relatives or paid helpers, but one person bets with them.
Can InlineShield catch gnoming?
Not by identity: a gnome's account has real personal details. It can catch the shared traces such accounts often leave at sign-up, such as the same VPN or cloud server, temp mail or a mismatched time zone, and send them to review or KYC.
Will genuine bettors who use a VPN be refused?
Not by default. A VPN sign-up is held for review, and you can switch that hold off in Settings › Rules.
Does it use device fingerprinting?
No. InlineShield does not fingerprint devices.
Which platforms does it work with?
Any platform that can make an HTTPS call from its registration handler. Code is ready for PHP, Node.js, Python, Java and C#, and WordPress sites can use the plugin. See integrations.
